abstract |
A magnetic fine particle capable of easily and efficiently immobilizing a target substance and a method for producing the same are provided. Magnetic particles comprising an aggregate including a magnetic substance and a compound having an alkyl group, and a gel layer covering the aggregate, wherein the gel layer has a hydrophilic group. The magnetic fine particles are obtained by a production method including at least the following steps. 1) a step of forming an aggregate including a magnetic substance and a compound having an alkyl group, and 2) producing a cross-linked body from a polymerizable monomer and a cross-linkable monomer on the surface of the aggregate formed in step 1).
