abstract [PROBLEMS] To provide stable operation by optimizing the amount of ferro-coke used when ferro-coke is used in a blast furnace. In a blast furnace operating method in which ore and coke including ferro-coke and blast furnace coke are charged into a blast furnace, the use ratio of the ferro-coke is 2 mass% or more and 50 mass% or less of the coke. A blast furnace operation method using ferro-coke is used. The ferro-coke preferably has a particle size of 15 mm or more and 40 mm or less. [Selection] Figure 1
