abstract |
An object of the present invention is to provide a liquid crystal aligning agent for obtaining a liquid crystal aligning film having high liquid crystal alignment and good black level. At least one selected from a polyamic acid obtained by reacting a mixture of a tetracarboxylic dianhydride represented by the formula (I) with another tetracarboxylic dianhydride with a diamine and a derivative thereof. A composition containing a polymer, wherein the ratio of the tetracarboxylic dianhydride represented by the formula (I) is 5 to 95 mol% based on the total amount of the mixture of the tetracarboxylic dianhydrides, Liquid crystal aligning agent whose ratio of tetracarboxylic dianhydride of 5-95 mol%.
