PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide immersion water with a low content of reducing sugar. A method for reducing the reducing sugar content in light soaking water, comprising incubating light soaking water extracted from a cone soaking process having a SO 2 content of about 20 ppm to about 220 ppm for at least about 5 hours.
