abstract The present invention provides a rolling bearing capable of preventing wear of a bearing ring on which a static load acts, for example, an inner ring, and a member, for example, a shaft, of the bearing ring that is in contact with a surface opposite to a rolling element raceway surface. A rolling bearing 5 is a radial type bearing having an inner ring 1, an outer ring 2, and rolling elements 3 interposed between raceway surfaces 1a and 2a of the inner and outer rings 1 and 2. The inner diameter of the inner diameter surface of the inner ring 1 is set to be larger than the inner diameter of both end portions 11, and a concave concave central dent shape that forms the annular recess 10 is formed. The shaft 6 fitted to the inner periphery of the inner ring 1 is brought into contact with both axial end portions 11 on the inner diameter surface of the inner ring 1. As a result, the distance a from the contact point A between the rolling element 3 and the inner ring 1 to the contact point B between the shaft 6 and the inner ring 1 is increased, so that the inner diameter surface of the inner ring 1 is caused by the rolling contact between the rolling element 3 and the inner ring 1. The stress distribution in the circumferential direction becomes almost uniform, and slippage between the shaft 6 and the inner ring 1 hardly occurs. [Selection] Figure 1
