titleOfInvention X-ray tube electron source
abstract A relatively inexpensive and long-life X-ray tube electron source is provided. The x-ray tube comprises an emitter wire (18) housed in a suppressor (14, 16). The extraction grid comprises a plurality of parallel wires (20) extending perpendicular to the emitter wire, the focusing grid is parallel to the grid wire (20), and from the grid wire (20), etc. A plurality of wires (22) arranged at intervals are provided. The grid wires are connected to a positive extraction potential or a negative blocking potential by a switch, so that at any time a pair of adjacent grid wires (22) are connected together to form an extraction pair, which generates an electron beam. The switch is controlled. The position of the beam is moved by switching the various grid wire pairs to the extraction potential. [Selection] Figure 1
