Treatment method and dedicated casting apparatus for preventing spheroidization inhibition and lowering of casting temperature during casting of ductile cast iron melt |
abstract |
A method for treating ductile iron, which comprises the following steps: pouring molten ductile iron into the pouring electric furnace (1); alkaline earth metal ions or rare earth metals above the molten ductile iron (5) High temperature molten alkaline slag (6) enriched with ions or a mixture of alkaline earth metal ions and rare earth metal ions is charged; the ductile cast iron melt (5) is passed through the electrode (7) and the negative electrode of the DC power supply The alkaline slag (6) is now connected to the positive electrode of the DC power source through one electrode (4), and the molten ductile iron (5) is treated using the alkaline slag (6) as an electrolyte. This method can suppress the spheroidization inhibition rate of ductile cast iron. The cast-in electric furnace apparatus is suitable for treating a ductile cast iron melt. [Selection] Figure 1 |
