There is no risk of conduction failure due to electrode peeling even when single crystals as piezoelectric bodies cause chipping during array-shaped cutting (dicing processing), and reliable conduction can be ensured. An ultrasonic probe having a high yield and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. In addition, an ultrasonic medical image diagnostic apparatus including the ultrasonic probe is provided. An acoustic probe in which an acoustic lens, an acoustic matching layer, an ultrasonic transducer, and a backing layer are bonded and laminated in this order, and a piezoelectric body constituting the ultrasonic transducer is provided. An ultrasonic probe, which is a single crystal or a uniaxially oriented crystal, and an electrode is provided only on a layer or member adjacent to the piezoelectric body. [Selection] Figure 2 |
