The present invention provides novel immune enhancing factors, immunogenic compositions, novel compounds and pharmaceutical compositions, and novel methods of administering vaccines by administering small molecule immune enhancing factors in combination with antigens. The present invention provides immunostimulatory compositions comprising small molecule immune enhancer (SMIP) compounds and methods of administering them. Also provided are methods of administering an effective amount of a SMIP compound to enhance an immune response to a subject's antigen. Further provided are novel compositions for treating cancer, infectious diseases, and / or allergies / asthma, and methods of administering SMIP compounds alone or in combination with another agent.
