abstract [Problem] To provide a pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ) potassium salt having high crystallinity by a method capable of recrystallization with a small amount of waste liquid. SOLUTION: 5 ml of PQQ disodium salt was added to ion-exchanged water, and 300 ml of a solution having a pH of 6.7 was prepared by adding an aqueous sodium hydroxide solution. 80 g of potassium chloride was added here. At this time, a red solid precipitated. Stir at room temperature for 16 hours. The crystals were collected by suction filtration and dried under reduced pressure for 16 hours at room temperature. As a result, a method for producing crystals of PQQ tripotassium salt with a yield of 95 mol%. [Selection figure] None
