abstract A cruising distance extension device capable of extending a cruising distance with a simple configuration and high efficiency is provided. A range extender includes a motor generator, an engine, a fuel storage unit, and a fuel supply unit. The motor generator 30 can charge the battery 10 when the amount of charge of the battery 10 is insufficient. Engine 20 drives motor generator 30. The fuel storage unit 40 stores the fuel supplied to the engine 20. The fuel supply unit supplies the fuel stored in the fuel storage unit 40 to the engine 20. The fuel supplied to the engine 20 includes DME which is a gaseous fuel. Since DME is more easily vaporized than gasoline and light oil, the fuel supply unit can be configured with a relatively simple configuration. [Selection] Figure 1
