titleOfInvention Positron emission tomography system
abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a positron emission tomography apparatus capable of reducing artifacts even when a part of a detector is extracted. In a PET apparatus, a data collecting unit collects LOR data indicating a line connecting a detector pair in which a pair annihilation photon is detected, and an interpolated LOR data creating unit has a extracted detector portion. If there is, the number of interpolation LORs estimated to be collected is calculated stochastically to create interpolation LOR data. Since the missing LOR of the extracted detector portion is interpolated with the interpolated LOR data calculated stochastically, artifacts occurring in the tomographic image can be reduced.
