Cancer treatment with radiation and immune cytokines |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a method for treating tumors and cancer cells by administering immune cytokines after radiation therapy. This combination of treatments can stimulate an immune response at the irradiated and non-irradiated sites, which is useful for eradicating cancer cells that have evolved from the primary tumor site. In addition, immune cytokines can be administered in amounts less than the maximum tolerated dose, thereby reducing the side effects associated with immune cytokine therapy. [Selection figure] None |
