| abstract |
An apparatus for generating test traffic for testing a network is provided. A scheduler 430 provides packet definition data for a series of packets, each packet being associated with a respective flow control group. The channelized schedule queue 435 may include a plurality of parallel channels, each channel dedicated to storing packet definition data associated with a corresponding flow control group. The plurality of stateless packet builders 450 constructs a packet according to the packet definition data read from the channelized schedule queue. Channelized packet buffer 455 stores packets constructed by a plurality of stateless packet builders. Output multiplexer 460 forms test traffic by interleaving packets from the channelized packet buffer. [Selection] Figure 4 |
