abstract The present invention provides a method for measuring glycated hemoglobin using amadoriase, which is simpler, quicker, and provides a highly accurate measurement value. In addition, the present invention provides a reagent composition for measuring glycated hemoglobin, which is used for that purpose and has fewer restrictions on the use conditions and can fully exhibit the performance of the prescribed enzyme. Glycation formulated with amadoriase with significantly reduced reactivity to ε-fructosyl lysine to reactivity to α-fructosylvalylhistidine in a wide pH range from weakly acidic to weakly alkaline region A reagent composition for measuring hemoglobin and a method for measuring glycated hemoglobin using the same. [Effect] A highly accurate measurement value can be obtained in a wide pH range including the pH most suitable for the reaction of amadoriase without performing a step such as elimination of the influence substance by pretreatment.
