An alloy metal powder containing at least iron, cobalt and molybdenum metals and suitable for the manufacture of sintered products is provided. A metal salt aqueous solution is mixed with a saturated carboxylic acid aqueous solution precipitant, the precipitated product is separated from the mother liquor, and the precipitated product is thermally decomposed in an oxygen-containing atmosphere at 200 ° C. to 1000 ° C. in a hydrogen atmosphere. A pre-alloy metal powder containing 20% to 90% by weight of iron, up to 65% by weight of cobalt, and 3% to 60% by weight of molybdenum, obtained by reduction to a metal. [Selection figure] None |
