abstract | A fluid bed reactor system for the production of high purity silicon coated particles is disclosed. The container includes an outer wall, a heat insulating layer facing the inner surface of the outer wall, at least one heater disposed inside the heat insulating layer, a removable concentric liner inside the heater, a central injection nozzle, A plurality of fluidizing nozzles, at least one cooling gas nozzle, and at least one product outlet. The system may include a removable concentric sleeve inside the liner. In certain systems, the central injection nozzle is configured to create a vertical plume of the first gas in the center of the reactor chamber to minimize silicon deposition on the reactor surface. |
