abstract | The present invention relates to a capsule (1000) comprising a body (1004) in the form of a cup and a membrane lid (1006), both of which define a chamber (1008) for containing a substance for the preparation of a beverage. The body (1004) is substantially frustoconical outer sidewall (1010), integral with the outer sidewall (1010), and the outer sidewall (1010) at the rear end (1020) of the body (1004). And the base (1012) to be occluded. The membrane lid (1006) closes the other end of the outer sidewall (1010). The base (1012) extends into the capsule (1000) by a peripheral region (1023) defining a rear end (1020) of the body (1004) and relative to the rear end (1020) of the body (1004).
