The present invention solves the clogging and drying pattern on the surface of a gravure roll, the coating material remaining in the coating material supply chamber and the prevention of solidification due to the coating material, and further reducing the dismantling cleaning time. A cleaning method for a coating apparatus is provided. A cleaning method for a pressure-sealed gravure coating apparatus, and a blocking blade C for partitioning a coating material supply chamber A (6) and a coating material supply chamber B (7) when cleaning a gravure roll.
