| abstract | A subtitle presentation application capable of presenting subtitle information in a plurality of programs is facilitated. A receiver includes: a broadcast receiving unit that receives a video stream; and a subtitle that decodes one or more subtitle information including a subtitle character string to be displayed superimposed on the video content from the received video stream.
