A method for producing an aluminum alloy member of the present invention includes 1.6 mass% or more and 2.6 mass% or less of magnesium (Mg), or 6.0 mass% or more and 7.0 mass% or less of zinc (Zn). 0.5% by mass or less of copper (Cu), 0.01% by mass or more and 0.05% by mass or less of titanium (Ti), and an aluminum (Al) alloy whose balance is made of aluminum (Al) and inevitable impurities. An extruding step ST1 for extruding between, a cooling step ST1 for cooling after extrusion, a straining step ST4 for introducing strain for refining precipitates precipitated in the crystal grains of the aluminum alloy after cooling, and heat treatment And an aging treatment step ST5 for aging treatment.
