titleOfInvention | Post-treatment method of metal cyano complex |
abstract | In a post-treatment method of a metal cyano complex adsorbed with radioactive cesium, the metal cyano complex is stably treated while avoiding thermal runaway, etc., and volatilization / dissipation of radioactive cesium cyanide, heat generation during unexpected heating and combustion reaction In order to avoid this, a method for converting a metal cyano complex after adsorption of radioactive cesium into a chemically stable substance is provided. A metal cyano complex adsorbed with radioactive cesium is subjected to superheated steam treatment to decompose the metal cyano complex and convert the metal component into an oxide, thereby stabilizing the metal cyano complex. As a result, while avoiding thermal runaway, volatilization / dissipation of radioactive cesium cyanide, unexpected heat generation during heating, and combustion reaction can be avoided, and radioactive cesium can be stored and managed stably. Furthermore, by extracting cesium from a metal cyano complex treated with superheated steam and re-adsorbing it to the stabilized adsorbent, it is possible to store it more stably, such as avoiding cesium elution due to contact with water. .
