abstract |
The present invention provides a method for forming a metal oxide coating layer as a support layer on the surface of a catalyst support so that the specific surface area of the support layer is increased while increasing the bonding force between the support layer and the catalyst support. A precipitation step in which a mixed solution containing a metal oxide precursor and a precipitating agent is brought into contact with a catalyst support to form a metal-containing precipitate on the surface of the catalyst support and formed on the catalyst support. A method of forming the metal oxide coating layer 20 on the surface of the catalyst support 10 including a plastic step of plasticizing the deposited metal-containing precipitate to form the metal oxide coating layer 20 on the surface of the catalyst support 10.
