titleOfInvention Exhaust system structure of internal combustion engine
abstract An exhaust system structure for an internal combustion engine capable of suppressing cooling water leaking from a water jacket of a water cooling adapter from being transmitted to an exhaust manifold. In an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine, a water cooling adapter is fixed between a cylinder head of the internal combustion engine and an exhaust manifold through gaskets. The water-cooled adapter 20 includes an exhaust passage 21 through which exhaust flows and a water jacket 22 formed so as to surround the exhaust passage 21. The gasket 40 sandwiched between the exhaust manifold 50 and the water cooling adapter 20 has a protruding portion 49 that protrudes vertically downward from the connecting portion 59 of the exhaust manifold 50 that is in contact with the gasket 40.
