abstract | An imaging apparatus capable of reducing the chance of contact between muddy water and a waterproof part when the imaging apparatus is submerged and extending the useful life of the waterproof part. A third protrusion 3 is provided on a holding member 11a and has a groove 27 formed on an outer peripheral surface thereof. The fourth protrusion 29 has a cylindrical shape extending toward an opposite surface of the third housing 3 and the third housing 3 has. A cylindrical fifth protrusion provided on the opposing surface, extending toward one surface of the first housing 1, located on the inner peripheral side of the fourth protrusion 29 and facing the fourth protrusion 29 via a small gap. A rotation mechanism is provided that includes a portion 30 and a waterproof part that is fixed to the inner peripheral surface of the fourth protrusion 29 and that is in sliding contact with the outer periphery of the shaft 13a on the third housing 3 side from the bearing 12a.
