titleOfInvention Development device
abstract An object of the present invention is to reduce the resistance when a developer flows into a gap between a regulating portion of a developer regulating member and a developing rotator so that the developer is smoothly supplied to the gap. Stabilizes the amount of developer carried. A developer restricting member includes a restricting portion for restricting the amount of developer carried on the developing rotator, and an extension extending from the restricting portion toward the upstream side in the rotation direction with respect to the rotation direction of the developing rotator. The regulating portion and the extending portion are integrally formed, and are within 1.5G or less from the regulating portion (origin) in the X-axis direction and 1.5G or less from the origin in the Y-axis direction. The extension ratio of the gap between the tangent line in the extension portion and the extension portion is the extension in the rotation direction of the developing rotator over the entire extension portion. It gradually becomes smaller from the most upstream end of the section toward the most downstream end. [Selection] Figure 8
