A power supply system includes a high-voltage first power storage device, a low-voltage second power storage device, a choke coil, a switching element that switches a connection state between the choke coil and the first power storage device, and an element S1 A DCDC converter 14 having a switching element S2 that switches the ground state of the choke coil and a diode that is connected in parallel to the first power storage device, and a switching element S3 that switches a connection state between the choke coil and the second power storage device S4, and a control unit that performs PWM control on the elements S1 and S2 and controls on / off of the elements S3 and S4. Even if the ON time of element S2 is controlled to zero, the control unit turns off element S1 if the current flowing out from the second power storage device exceeds a predetermined reference current.
