abstract | Provided is an ink capable of controlling foaming of a foamed layer using a material other than a black toner. A foam suppressing ink contains a foam suppressing material that suppresses foaming of a foam layer due to heating in step S14 when the ink is applied to a medium, compared to when the ink is not applied. The foam-suppressing ink is added to the medium in step S14 by being applied to the medium as a foam-suppressing material by being applied to the first material that penetrates or erodes into the foam layer and swells or dissolves the foam microcapsules.
