PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for separating a high boiling point aldehyde from a rhodium-organophosphite hydroformylation catalyst while reducing rhodium loss. In a continuous hydroformylation process, (a) removing the reaction fluid from the reactor 100, (b) sending the reaction fluid to the vaporizer 200, and (c) in the vaporizer. A continuous hydroformyl mill comprising separating the reaction fluid to generate a catalyst-containing liquid stream and a gas phase stream, and (d) maintaining the average CO partial pressure in the vaporizer above 16 psia (110 kPa).
