abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal-air battery capable of suppressing corrosion of a positive electrode current collector and achieving a long life. A metal air cell of the present invention is a metal air battery having a negative electrode 1, an air electrode 3, and an electrolyte 2 interposed between the negative electrode 1 and the air electrode 3, and is a positive electrode current collector. The body contains at least one selected from the group consisting of titanium metal, molybdenum metal, nickel-based alloy, tungsten metal, zirconium metal, tantalum metal and carbon-based, and the air electrode catalyst material is non-oxide ceramic and carbon. The air electrode catalyst material contains at least one selected from the group consisting of a system material and a composite oxide, and the air electrode catalyst material is a noble metal nanocolloid, a carbon quantum dot, a graphene quantum dot, a metal organic structure, and a metal organic material. It is supported by at least one selected from the group consisting of a carbon-based material derived from a structure (MOF) and an oxide-based material derived from a metal organic structure (MOF).
