PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid detergent containing no isothiazolin-based preservative, which is widely used in a detergent composition having a liquid property near neutrality. SOLUTION: (A) component: a nonionic surfactant, (B) component: a non-soap-based anionic surfactant, and (C) component: an organic solvent represented by the following general formula (c1) are contained. The content of the component (C) is 3.5% by mass or more with respect to the total mass of the liquid detergent, and the total amount of the surfactant is 30% by mass or less with respect to the total mass of the liquid detergent. A liquid detergent composition that does not contain isothiazolone-based organic sulfur compounds and benzisothiazolin-based organic sulfur compounds as preservatives.
