abstract | <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinder by which round toner particles are manufactured efficiently and stably at a high toner productivity. <P>SOLUTION: The grinder is equipped with a powder inlet, a stator, a rotor attached to a center rotating shaft and a powder outlet, wherein the rotor is located inside the stator so that a specified clearance is secured between the surface of the stator and the surface of the rotor to form a grinding zone. The grinder both the stator and the rotor of which have a plurality of projecting and recessed parts is characterized in that there is a correlation of BRc>ARc or BRc>CRc and the differences between BRc and each of ARc and CRc are 50 μm or more and 300 μm or less, wherein Rc indicates the distance between the top (Ra) of the projecting part and bottom (Rb) of the recessed part of the rotor; and ARc, BRc and CRc indicate Rc at the powder inlet side, Rc at the center part and Rc at the powder outlet side, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
