abstract PURPOSE:To prepare a flux detergent which is excellent in the detergency and does not destroy ozone within the stratosphere, and which comprises trichlorodifluoroethane as an active ingredient and at least one solvent selected from among hydrocarbons, alcohols, ketones, and chlorinated hydrocarbons. CONSTITUTION:Three isomers of trichlorodifluoroethane are used alone or in the form of a mixture of two or more of them as an active ingredient. According to various purposes, at least one org. solvent selected from among 1-15 C linear or cyclic (un)satd. hydrocarbons (e.g., n-heptane), 1-17 C linear or cyclic (un)satd. alcohols (e.g., methanol), ketones of formula I-V [wherein R, R', and R'' are each a 1-9 C (un)satd. hydrocarbon group] (e.g., acetone) and 1-2 C (un)satd. chlorinated hydrocarbons (e.g., trichloroethylene) is added thereto in an amt. of 0-50wt.% based on the whole detergent. When an azeotropic composition is present, the aforesaid solvent is added in a proportion of an azeotropic compsn.
