| abstract | PURPOSE: To eliminate the problems of fire hazard and CO gas poisoning and to advantageously uniformize the atmosphere in a storage room, by supplying a nitrogen-enriched gas into the storage room to make the atmosphere in the room to nitrogen-enriched state and stirring the inside of the storage room. n CONSTITUTION: A storage room 2 for storing perishable foods is placed in the main body 1 of a storage chamber. A cooling apparatus 21 to cool the inside of the storage room 2 is attached to or closely placed near the main body 1 of the storage chamber. A nitrogen-enriched gas supplying apparatus 30 to supply nitrogen-enriched gas to the storage room 2 is attached to or closely placed near the main body 1 of the storage chamber. The storage room 2 contains a stirring apparatus 78 to stir the gas in the storage room 2.
