abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition improved in heat resistance, chemical resistance, mechanical strengths and moldability by mixing an aromatic polyether-imide with a specified thermoplastic polyimide. n CONSTITUTION: A polyimide acid obtained by reacting an ether diamine, e.g., 1,4-bis[4-(3-aminophenoxy)benzoyl]benzene, with a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride is imidated to obtain a thermoplastic polyimide (B) having repeating units each represented by the formula [wherein R is a tetravalent group selected from among a 2C or higher (cyclo)aliphatic group, a monocyclic aromatic group, a fused polycyclic aromatic group and a nonfused polycyclic aromatic group composed of aromatic groups bonded directly or through bridging members]. 100 pts.wt. aromatic polyether-imide (A) is mixed with 1-100 pts.wt. component B. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
