abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a streoscopic image by a method wherein a layer containing a thermal-expansible microcapsule formed by encapsulating a low b.p. vaporizable substance with a thermoplastic resin containing a heat self-generating substance is formed and friction is applied to said layer in matching relation to an image to be drawn to expand and lift up the microcapsule. n CONSTITUTION: Friction is applied to a microcapsule-containing layer 20 in matching relation to an image to be drawn by a proper friction material 3 and the heat self-generating substance in the microcapsule is generates heat to heat the low b.p. vaporizable substance in the microcapsule and, as a result, the rubbed part expands and protrudes to allow a stereoscopic image 4 to appear. As a metal powder being the heat self-generating substance, an iron powder is especially pref. because of its good heat generating property and, as the low b.p. vaporizable substance sealed in the microcapsule, propane can be designated. The heat self-generating substance-containing thermoplastic resin layer forming the shell part of the microcapsule 2 may be composed of one layer but may consist of the first layer 22 of a thermoplastic resin directly enclosing the low b.p. vaporizable substance 21 and the second layer 26 of another thermoplastic resin 25 containing the heat self-generating substance 24 covering the first layer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio |
