titleOfInvention Separation of starch from starch producing residual solution and obtained starch
abstract PURPOSE: To separate and recover starch of a high grade in high yield from a residual soln. left after starch is produced from grain by concentrating the residual soln. to a predetermined concn. and adding an enzyme agent showing pentosan forming activity to the conc. residual soln. to react the same with the residual soln. while prescribing pH, concn. and a reaction time. n CONSTITUTION: A residual soln. is recovered after starch is produced from grain selected from wheat, rye, barley and oats and conc. until dry matter content becomes 17-25 wt.% and an enzyme agent showing pentosan forming activity is added to the concn. residual soln. As a concrete example of the enzyme agent, one obtained from a microorganism such as Aspergillus niger or Trichoderma vride is designated. Subsequently, the enzyme agent is reacted at 30-50°C for 0.5-4 hr under a pH condition of 2.6-3.7. Next, the obtained suspension is treated by using an centrifugal separator or a decanter to be separated in to a starch part and a second residual soln. and the starch part is washed and dried to recover starch. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO
