titleOfInvention | Flowing water type ice making machine |
abstract | PURPOSE: To separate granular ice one by one, force the ice to drop from an ice making pan downward into an ice storage section, separated from the other ice blocks, and hence reduce ice separation time by installing an electric heater to the back side of a partition wall having a U-shaped cross section, which separates the interconnection between ice making compartments of an ice making pan, and heating the partition walls of the ice making pan under control during ice separation time. n CONSTITUTION: During ice making, a solenoid valve 8a is closed while a solenoid valve 8b is opened in a refrigerator circuit. A compressor 3 is driven under the aforesaid state. A refrigerant flows through a route illustrated by the arrow. This refrigerating cycle cools an ice making pan 1. On the other hand, a switch 7 is placed under on control. An electric heater 6 is under heating state subject to the application of electric power so that partition walls 12 and 13 for the ice making pan 1 may be heated by the heater 6. As a result, the ice generated inside an ice making compartment 11 of the ice making pan 1 is subject to heating on both sides which face the bottom of the ice making pan and the partition wall surfaces at the same time. The ice is broken away by its own weight from the ice making compartment 11 there the ice slightly thaws from its surface, and drop downward into an ice storage section below, separated from the other ice blocks. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
