abstract | PURPOSE:To make it possible to shorten the processing time of the subject material, and to remarkably improve the stability of the fixation promoting effect of the material at the time of continuously processing it and the preservation of a picture after processing the material, respectively by processing the material with a specified bleaching solution and a specified fixing solution, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The bath having bleaching ability has pH of 2.5-5.5, and contains a ferric complex salt of 1,3-diaminopropane tetraacetic acid of >=0.2mol/l and an org. acid of >=0.5mol/l, and the bath having fixing ability contains at least one kind of a compd. shown by formulas I-V. In formulas I-V, (m) is an integer of 0 or 1-4, R<1> and R<2> are each alkyl group, R<3> is alkylene group, X is sulfur or oxygen atom, etc., Z is -OR<15> or -SR<16> group, R<11>, R<12>, R<15> and R<16> are each alkyl group, etc., A is alkylene group, R<20> is -NH2 group, etc., (p) is 1 or 2, L is -S<-> group, R<31> is hydroxyl group, etc., R<32> is hydrogen atom, etc., R<33> is alkyl group, etc., R41-R44 are each alkyl group, etc. Thus, the rapid desilverization and the stable processing of the material can be performed, and the increase of the stain during the preservation of the material after processing it, is prevented. |
