abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the title copolymer capable readily treating because of liquid and suitable as a raw material for polyurethane resin having excellent hydrolytic resistance by adding a specific initiator to a lactone having a substituent group and caprolactone and reacting the above-mentioned components. n CONSTITUTION: (A)a ε-Caprolactone monomer composed of a structural unit expressed by formula I is blended with (B) a lactone monomer having a substituent group and composed of structural units expressed by formula II and (C) a lactone monomer having a substituent group and composed of structural unit expressed by formula III, preferably so that amounts of components B and C are 0.1-20 times based on 1mol component A and an initiator consisting of a compound (e.g., water or ethylene glycol) having one or more active hydrogen groups is added thereto and the above-mentioned components are reacted e.g., at 20-200°C to provide the aimed copolymer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
