titleOfInvention Dispersion assistant and dispersion stabilizer for suspension polymerization of vinyl compound
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain porous polymer particles having a sharp particle diameter distribution, good uniformity and good heat stability by using a dispersion assistant comprising a specified vinyl ester polymer and a dispersion stabilizer prepared by combining this assistant with a conventional dispersant such as PVA or a cellulose derivative. n CONSTITUTION: A vinyl ester polymer having 0.01-10mol% amino or ammonium groups in the side chains, a degree of polymerization ≥100 and a degree of saponification of the vinyl ester units of 40-80mol% is used as a dispersion stabilizer for the suspension polymerization of a vinyl compound. As the vinyl ester, vinyl acetate is desirable. As the dispersion stabilizer, a combination of 10-70wt.% above dispersion assistant with 30-90wt.% polyvinyl alcohol of a degree of saponification of 65-95mol% and a degree of polymerization of 200-3000 as the main dispersant is desirable. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
