| abstract | PURPOSE:To produce an Al sheet free from cracking in the course of forming by controlling the thickness of an oxide film on an Al sheet and the amount of residual contaminants, such as wear particle, remaining on the Al sheet to specific values or below, respectively, at the time of producing an Al sheet as a drawless fin material for room air conditioner. CONSTITUTION:At the time of producing an Al sheet for drawless fin for heat exchanger for air conditioning by means of rolling, the surface of the Al sheet is cleaned by means of an alkali solution of >=pH10, e.g. for 1-300sec in the course of cold rolling or after the final cold rolling, by which the thickness of an oxide film on the Al-sheet surface is regulated to <=200Angstrom and also the amount of contaminants, such as wear particle, remaining on the surface is regulated to <=10mg/m<2>. By this method, ironing property and reflaring property at the time of drawless fin forming can be improved, and the Al sheet minimal in the fraction defective due to cracks can be obtained. |
