PURPOSE: To obtain a polyimide having improved moldability without reducing heat resistance by condensing a bis(aminophenoxy)biphenyl with pyromellitic dianhydride in the presence of a specific diamine compound, etc. n CONSTITUTION: 4,4'-bis(3-aminophenoxy)biphenyl shown by formula III is condensed with pyromellitic dianhydride shown by formula IV in the presence of a diamine compound (e.g. m-aminobenzylamine) shown by formula I (R 1 is bifunctional group such as aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, monocyclic aromatic, condensed polycyclic aromatic group) and/or a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride (e.g. ethylenetetracarboxylic acid dianhydride) shown by formula II (R 2 is tetrafunctional group such as aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, monocyclic aromatic, condensed polycyclic aromatic nucleus) to give the aimed polyimide. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
