titleOfInvention | Solidifying filler |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain such a solidifying filler which can make an org. porous material flame-retardant or an inorg. porous material impermeable by impregnating an org. or inorg. porous material. with this solidifying filler to solidify and deposit a high concn. calcium component in the pores, by compounding calcium saccharate as the chief agent and its infusibilizing agent. n CONSTITUTION: The solidifying filler consists of an aq. soln. of calcium succharate (A) (0.2-8wt.% CaO concn., preferably 1-5wt.%), aq. soln. of org. infusibilizing agent (B) (e.g. ethylene carbonate, glyoxal) to the (A) component (0.2wt.% concn. to the satd. soln., preferably 2-30wt.%), and if necessary, calcium chelating aq. soln. (e.g. tripolyphosphate aq. soln., 0.2wt.% concn. to the satd. soln., preferably 5-30wt.%). This filler is used to solidify and deposit insoluble calcium in a porous material. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio |
