titleOfInvention Low pressure mercury vapor electric discharge lamp
abstract PURPOSE: To prevent early blackening of the surface of a phosphor by using, as a surface layer, a layer whose contact charge order is relatively on the positive side out of plural layers of film. n CONSTITUTION: In a low pressure mercury vapor discharge lamp in which a fluorescent film 2 consisting of a plurality of layers is formed on the inside of a glass bulb 1, the fluorescent film 2 which is charged relatively negative is defined as a lower layer 21, and the fluorescent film 2 which is charged relatively positive is defined as a surface layer 22. A film surface layer portion, therefore, tends to display its relatively positive charge and a quantitative decrease takes place in electrostatic attraction generated when fine grains of such as silver and silver oxide having tendency to display its relatively positive charge in the similar way in the bulb 1 come into contact with the film surface portion. It is thereby possible to prevent blackening caused due to adsorption of mercury or mercury oxide on the surface of the fluorescent film 2. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
