abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the subject fabric, useful for flame-resistant clothes, etc., worn by firemen, airmen, etc., and having a specific limit oxygen index by homogeneously mixing fiber composed of aromatic polyamide fiber and cellulosic fiber with polyester fiber. n CONSTITUTION: The objective cloth is obtained by homogeneously mixing 95-60 pts.wt. fiber composed of 50-100wt.% aromatic polyamide fiber (fiber composed of polym-phenylene isophthalamide) and 0-50wt.% cellulosic fiber (flame retardant rayon containing cotton, rayon and a flame retardant added thereto) with 5-40 pts.wt. polyester fiber (preferably polyethylene terephthalate, etc., having 25-200mm fiber length).
