(57) Abstract: (A) Al-alkyl compounds: (B) trifluoropropyl-substituted silane compounds; and (C) at least one Ti-halogen, both supported on active anhydrous magnesium dihalide. A catalyst for polymerizing an α-olefin containing a reaction product of a titanium compound having a bond and an electron donor compound, and a method for polymerizing an α-olefin using this catalyst. [Effect] This catalyst has a high catalytic activity and is suitable for the polymerization of α-olefins. |
