(57) [Summary] (Modified) [Purpose] To provide a method for measuring a test substance in medium suspected of containing the test substance. [Structure] A medium suspected of containing a test substance is treated under the condition that, in the presence of the test substance, the photosensitizer and the chemiluminescent compound move to the close proximity to each other. The photosensitizer generates singlet oxygen and activates chemiluminescent compounds that are in close proximity to it. The activated chemiluminescent compound then produces light. The amount of light produced correlates with the amount of analyte in the medium. The photosensitizer and / or the chemiluminescent compound are preferably associated with the normally suspendable particles at their surface, to which members of the specific binding pair (sbp) are bound. |
