(57) [Abstract] [Purpose] To provide a method and apparatus for stably and rapidly ion plating an alloy coating on a wide strip running in a vacuum. [Structure] A material in two or more crucibles is simultaneously vaporized by an electron beam emitted from an electron beam irradiating device, and the vaporized alloy material particles are passed through a diaphragm opening through which a positive electrode is applied to a hood-shaped electrode. By applying a voltage, the particles of the alloy material evaporated from each crucible are simultaneously ionized to form an alloy film on the strip plate. |
