(57) [Summary] (Modified) [Objective] To provide a method for producing a homogeneous hydrogel copolymer, which is useful as a hydrogel film for diffusing an active compound in an aqueous medium. A predetermined equilibrium water content (EWC) value produced by addition polymerization of a mixture of ethylenically unsaturated monomer A and ethylenically unsaturated monomer B, such as 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate and hydroxypropyl methacrylate, is calculated. A method for producing a homogeneous copolymer having is provided. Further provided is a method for making a delivery device comprising a drug contained in a container of copolymer AB hydrogel, said device delivering the drug to a delivery environment through a hydrogel membrane at a predetermined rate. It is characterized by its ability to elute or release. Also disclosed is a sterilized kit including a trocar or hypodermic needle / syringe and the aforementioned drug delivery device having a rounded or bullet-like cylindrical shaped article. |
